Imagine this: it is 2014 when Ute Haupenthal and Willi da Silva Borges start out in Saarland with a vision. From their passion for culture and sport, the online magazine "Kultur und Sport" is born - a place where local events take center stage. Who would have thought that this idea would grow into a vibrant media network?
But as life sometimes goes, Ute Haupenthal had to step away in 2017 for health reasons. Her energy and tireless commitment, however, left traces that continue to shape our values and vision today. Who could ever forget her enthusiasm?
In 2020, we took the next major step: renaming the project SaarlandToday - the media network from the heart of Saarland. Why the change? Because we wanted to open ourselves to the digital world. We are proud to use the many possibilities of modern communication and bring you the most compelling stories from our region.
Think of it this way: we are your media network, covering local topics and events in Saarland with passion. To serve the different interests of our readers, we divided our network into three exciting areas in 2022: News (SaarlandToday - News), Sport (SaarlandToday - Sport) and Event (SaarlandToday - Event). Isn't that a great way to deliver focused content?
But one thing remains unchanged: our main concern is to provide you with up-to-date information and create a platform where you can share your own stories and experiences. Are you ready for an exchange full of inspiration?
SaarlandToday is more than just a media network - it is a dynamic, growing project that continues to develop in order to meet the needs of our readership. We want to give you comprehensive insights into what is happening in Saarland and inspire you with engaging content. Are you curious about what comes next?
We warmly invite you to be part of this journey. Do you have questions or suggestions? Do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you and are ready to respond to your concerns as quickly as possible.
With warm regards,
The SaarlandToday team
