On September 30, 2025, around 12:00 PM, an attempted shoplifting occurred, committed by three perpetrators at the Globus Saarlouis. Two of the perpetrators packed groceries, hygiene products, clothing, two fully automatic coffee machines, and toys worth 1,783.82 euros into a shopping cart they had brought. The third perpetrator left the sales area in the meantime and waited in front of the entrance barriers to allow his accomplices to leave the sales area. They were approached by the store detective and fled. Two of the perpetrators have been identified, the third is still unknown. A photo from the video footage is available of this person.
