Chanson Days: Julien m’a dit
July 17, 2026 | 8:00 PM
As part of the Chanson Days on Vauban Island Saarlouis, the audience can expect French flair and an extraordinary artist. Julien m’a dit brings his sensitive, French-language chansons to the stage and invites you to an evening full of emotion, poetry, and quiet intensity.
When it comes to making sensitivity musically tangible, Julien is an outstanding example. His songs move – vulnerable, honest, and always sincere. With his distinctive, high-pitched voice accompanied by his guitar, he tells of the small and big moments of life. He manages to offer comfort even in the quiet undertones.
Alone on stage, Julien unfolds a special presence: the six strings of his guitar become a narrating counterpart, his lyrics are finely crafted and full of depth. He takes his audience on a journey through life’s contradictions – friendship and loss, farewell and new beginnings, pain and hope. These are stories of the in-between, of being human in all its facets.
With his current release “Heureux quand même,” Julien shows a new, even more personal side. After experiences of loss, ruptures, and grief, this work represents the decision to be happy nonetheless. His songs combine strong melodies with delicate nuances and carry lyrics of touching fragility that are simultaneously universally understandable.
Between strings of lights, summery evening air, and the view of the Saar, a place arises on Vauban Island where music touches directly and stories find space.
Admission is free.
