Saarbahn: Tree on Overhead Line – Saarbahn Line S1 Does Not Operate on the Upper Saar Route

A tree on the overhead line has interrupted traffic on the Saarbahn line S1 between Brebach and Saargemünd. Replacement buses have been running as rail replacement service on the upper Saar route since 17:15. The duration of the disruption is currently unknown.

Saarbahn 02.07.2026: Saarbahn uses buses as rail replacement service during the old town festival due to the GDL strike

Due to the GDL strike, Saarbahn will use buses as rail replacement service during the Old Town Festival from July 3rd to 5th. They run on the route from Lebach through Saarbrücken to Saargemünd. Timetables and more information are available online and in the Saarfahrplan app.
