POL-HOM: Hit-and-Run Traffic Accident Between Homburg and Käshofen

A parked VW Corrado was damaged on the L120 between Homburg and Käshofen. The driver responsible fled the scene without permission. The police are asking witnesses to provide any information about the hit-and-run incident.

Traffic Reports City of Saarbrücken (State Capital)

State capital to work on St. Johanner Street at the main train station starting July 17

Starting July 17, repairs will be carried out on St Johanner Straße near the main train station. The road will be completely closed during the work, and cyclists will be redirected to a designated pedestrian and bike path. The milling and asphalting work will last until July 20.

POL-HOM: Traffic accident with personal injury

A traffic accident on the L 223 near Homburg caused severe injuries to an Audi driver after a collision with a truck. The road remains closed until at least 3:30 PM. Police ask witnesses to come forward.

FW District Fire Department Neunkirchen: Wildfire Threatens Houses and Forest Between Neunkirchen and Wiebelskirchen

A large fire near Neunkirchen threatened homes and forest areas on July 12. About 150 emergency responders prevented the fire from spreading to residential and woodland areas between Neunkirchen and Wiebelskirchen. The blaze, caused by extreme weather, was successfully contained.

POL-SL: Speed Controls in Saarland Announcement of Control Locations and Times - Week 30, 2026

In Saarland, speed checks will take place from July 20 to 26, 2026, at selected accident hotspots. The locations are based on accident analyses to improve road safety. Additional checks are possible, and planned operations may be canceled for operational reasons.

In Homburg-Erbach, a Toyota was damaged while driving past. The unknown culprit fled the scene on Dürerstraße. Police are asking witnesses for information regarding the hit-and-run in Homburg.

POL-North Saarland: Traffic accident with five injured persons on B 268 between the localities of Britten and Losheim am See

A traffic accident on the B 268 left five people injured after two vehicles collided near the junction with the L 373. Two were seriously injured and three sustained minor injuries. Both vehicles were completely destroyed by fire, and the road was closed for hours.
