After a series of fires in Schiffweiler, the State Criminal Police Office is investigating a 20-year-old suspect. Four locations, including apartments and his workplace, were searched. Evidence was seized that is expected to provide further insights.

POL-SL: After suicide announcement in Saarlouis-Lisdorf, police take 37-year-old man into custody

In Saarlouis-Lisdorf, a 37-year-old man was secured by special forces following a suicide threat. Police spent several hours defusing the situation. The man was taken into custody with minor injuries. The police operation in Saarlouis is now concluded.

POL-SLS: Workplace accident with two injured persons in Saarlouis

In Saarlouis, a workplace accident involving hydrogen sulfide occurred in an industrial hall, seriously injuring two employees. Firefighters and emergency services responded, and several roads were blocked. There is currently no danger to the public.

POL-WND: Witness appeal following possible road traffic endangerment

On July 2nd, a driver of a gray VW Caddy was seen driving erratically in Namborn, repeatedly crossing into the oncoming lane. Police found signs of impaired driving and ask witnesses who had to swerve to come forward. Investigations into possible traffic endangerment are ongoing.
